Gregory brings over 20 years of experience with the BC Public Service, primarily focused on land and real estate matters. He has held a number of positions with the Government of BC and was appointed Assistant Deputy Minister of the Office of Housing and Construction Standards in June of 2016. In that role, Gregory was responsible for building codes and standards, affordable housing policy and programs, and education and dispute resolution services for landlords and tenants. Under Gregory’s leadership, the Office of Housing of Construction Standards launched Homes for BC: A 30-point Action Plan for Housing Affordability in 2018, including a historic ten-year $7 Billion investment in housing affordability. Gregory successfully guided the Residential Tenancy Branch through a multi-year modernization and service improvement initiative. Gregory was also the past President of the Real Estate Institute of BC, having served on the Board of Governors from 2014-2018.
He is currently the Vice President of Policy and Legal Services at the Land Title and Survey Authority.
Gregory holds a Masters Degree in City Planning from the University of Manitoba, alongside a Bachelor of Arts (Geography) and Certificate in Urban Studies, both from Simon Fraser University. Gregory also studied real estate at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
