As a resilient organization, we are adjusting our work and plans every single day to make sure our staff and tenants are healthy and safe. The non-profit housing sector is banding together to share strategies and best practices. We have the support of our provincial organization, the BC Non-Profit Housing Association and our government partners, especially BC Housing. Updates and changes occur regularly, and we are doing our best to provide you with updates concerning guidelines and restrictions that may affect you or your family. The Greater Victoria Housing Society will continue to adhere to the current public health recommendations in order to protect our tenants, employees, and members of the community.
As of April 8, 2022, the restrictions affecting the Greater Victoria Housing Society include:
- B.C. residents are no longer required to wear face coverings in indoor public spaces.
- You must continue to wear a mask in all healthcare settings, such as vaccine clinics and hospitals.
- There are no restrictions on personal gatherings, organized event, worship services, and fitness activities.
- A COVID-19 safety plan is in place for our main office and other central work spaces.
